FROM THE EAST TEXAS WEATHER CENTER (KTRE) - A weak cold front will stall over East Texas this weekend, providing extra lift to generate some showers and thunderstorms.
These rain showers will be scattered in nature and will be off and on throughout the weekend. While we are not expecting a washout, you will want to have your umbrella on hand in case you find yourselves underneath a heavy downpour or two.
With showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for several consecutive days, hopefully your dry lawns and gardens can get a nice drink of water on at least one of those days.
With the added cloud cover and rain around, temperatures will come down from their near record values as highs fall into the lower and middle 80s.
Remember that you can track the rain showers over the weekend down to your own neighborhood with our Storm Tracker Interactive Radar.
