Glaucoma Treatment

Glaucoma can sneak up on you and rob you blind.  The most dreadful thing about glaucoma is that there are no signs. It just sneaks up on you, and then your central vision is lost.

Glaucoma occurs when the eye's drainage systems gets clogged.  Fluid buildup eventually damages the optic nerve, but a new procedure could help.

S.L.T. is the newest generation of laser therapies, and it makes the drain in your eyes work better. Called Selective Laser Trabeculopasty, it employs a cold laser which only targets specific cells in the meshwork of the eye.

Dr. Berlin was the first doctor in Southern California to do this five minute office procedure, and patients can drive themselves home right afterwards. The effect, though, can last for years.
