LUFKIN TX, (KTRE) - A Houston attorney says his client should not be charged in the death of an Angelina College student.

Police say Christopher Salazar, 22, of Sugarland, was behind the wheel, speeding at 96 miles per hour on highway 59 near Angelina College, when he Hit Brandon Hart, 19. Salazar's Houston Lawyer John Floyd, says there's no way his client was driving that fast.

A plea bargain is an option for Salazar, until July 27. Jury selection is set for late September.
