LUFKIN- (KTRE) Can't seem to shake that shade of purple. Lufkin Panther basketball player Jadarius Davis doesn't want to either. The 6'7" swingman on the boy's basketball team will dawn purple in college just like he did in high school for the pack. Signing his letter of intent Monday May 17th with the Central Arkansas, he will continue as a student athlete at the next level.
He averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds per game for the Panthers. The division one scouts like his size and how well he can shoot the ball especially from the free throw line.
"He's got an opportunity that about a thousand kids per year in the united states get there is 300-350 division one schools who give out scholarships each year to be get a chance to get an education and better your life is what this is all about," Lufkin boys basketball coach J.T. Mcmanus said.
Davis, will graduate with his classmates next week. Central Arkansas plays in the Southland Conference same conference that SFA competes in.
