5/18/10 Lufkin Police report

Burglary/Building - 400 Block Atkinson Drive: At approximately 1:50 A.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to a business located in the 400 block of Atkinson Drive in reference to an active alarm.  According to the report, the Officers observed signs that an unknown actor(s) forced entry into the business by breaking a window but, at the time of the report, an employee of the business was not able to determine what, if any, property had been removed from within the business.  The report stated that evidence was collected from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Assault - 300 Block South Chestnut Street: At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Monday, May 17, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to a business located in the 300 block of South Chestnut Street in reference to an assault and encountered two persons identifying themselves as the complainant and identifying the other person as the suspect.  According to the report, each complainant stated that the other person punched them but neither provided an explanation for the altercation.  The report stated that, at the request of management for the business, the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers issued a Criminal Trespass Warning form to one of the complainants and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 500 Block South Chestnut Street: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 8:00 A.M. on and 8:45 A.M. on Monday, May 17, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of South Chestnut Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking a window and removed from within the vehicle a video camera, GPS unit, and a laptop computer.  The report stated that evidence was collected from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 500 Block Paul Avenue: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 8:00 A.M. on and 8:45 A.M. on Monday, May 17, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of Paul Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) removed from within the vehicle a car radio.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer did not observe signs that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle and that the incident was referred for further investigation.
