5/19/10 Lufkin Police report

911 Abuse/Hang-up - 1300 Block Grove Avenue: At approximately 3:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to a residence located in the 1000 block of Grove Avenue in reference to a caller placing abusive and harassing calls to 9-1-1.  According to the report, the caller was irate towards and cursing at 9-1-1 Dispatchers while reporting loud music in the area of his residence.  The report stated that the responding Officers were not able to locate the reported loud music and that, based upon their past experiences with the caller, the Officers believe that the caller falsely reported the incident but the caller refused to speak with the officers when they arrived at his residence.  According to the report, the incident was referred for further investigation to determine whether criminal charges apply to the caller's actions, or not.

Theft - 2500 Block Daniel McCall Drive: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 2:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, a known suspect stole a mobile telephone from a business located in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that when confronted in the parking lot by employees of the business the suspect placed the telephone on the ground and drove away in his vehicle.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were unable to locate the suspect and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 4600 Block South Medford Drive: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 10:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking a window and removed from within the vehicle a GPS unit.  The report stated that evidence was collected from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 500 Block North John Redditt Drive: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) attempted to burglarize a vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of North John Redditt Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) broke the vehicle's window and scratched the vehicle's paint but did not make entry into the vehicle, and that a rear view camera mounted to the exterior of the vehicle was damaged during the actor(s) attempt to remove it from the vehicle.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 1000 Block Clinton Street: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 6:30 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) stole a mobile telephone from a the basketball courts at Winston Park, located in the 1000 block of Clinton Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the mobile telephone was left on the ground while the complainant played basketball and that the telephone was missing when the complainant returned.  The report stated that the complainant and witness identified two subjects as possible suspects and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 4600 Block South Medford Drive: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 5:15 P.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, known suspect stole tools from a business located in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the suspect's actions were captured by the business' security video camera system and that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were able to identify the suspect but were not able to locate him at the time of the report.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Credit Card Abuse - 4600 Block South Medford Drive: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, an unidentified male suspect attempted to fraudulently utilize a debit card at a business located in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the debit card issued to a female name and the suspect fled the area when the complainant refused to accept the debit card as payment or to return the debit card to the suspect.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were not able to locate the suspect at the time of the report and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 1500 Block Atkinson Drive: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 3:20 A.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 1500 block of Atkinson Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by removing the vehicle's door lock cylinder and removed from within the vehicle a GPS unit ad portable music player.  The report stated that evidence was collected from the scene, that the business' security video camera system captured images of a possible suspect, and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

    Temporarily calling the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter a home, Remi is hoping to find something a little more permanent. Caretakers said the one-year-old dog is playful and loves attention.
