MARSHALL- (KTRE) – For two east Texas seniors who attend East Texas Baptist University, Porsha Harrison and Ayrika Henderson they decided to save the best for last. Harrison a former Lufkin Panther and Henderson are both on the Tigers softball team that went 36-12 this season. Harrison is a outfielder while Henderson patrols the circle as a pitcher. They have advanced to the division three world series in Wisconsin.
They're both hoping that the adrenaline from the long season will carry them through this weekend because both players are a little sore to say the least.
"My body is kind of getting old but my adrenaline is pumping. I'm excited and ready to get up there and start playing this weekend and it being such a short time it will roll over and we should come out on top," Harrison said.
"We are pumped ready to go. We are not tired at all even me pitching two full games I could pitch today. We are just ready to go," Henderson said.
The two east Texan ball players will play Movarian Friday night at 6:30pm. If they win they play Saturday against Christian Newport or Eastern Connecticut State.
