NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches pet lovers are encouraged to attend the first ever Pet Expo tomorrow at the Nacogdoches County Exposition Center.

The idea is designed to take care of all the homeless pets until they can find a permanent home. A full day of pet activities, food, a bicycle raffle and fun for the entire family are some of the things you can expect to find.

"We're going to have agility demos, search and rescue demonstrations," said Jamie Shelton, a supervisor at Nacogdoches Animal Services. "We're going to have narcotic dog demonstrations by the Nacogdoches Police Department. We're going to have a children's carnival. We're going to have costume contests. We're going to have smallest dog, largest dog and a dog owner look-alike contest."

All the fun gets started at 10 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m. You'll find it under Barn One at the Nacogdoches Expo Center.
