Theft - 2200 block of Pearl Street: A complainant reported that a known suspect stole a cell phone.
Theft - 4800 block of North Street: A complainant observed a suspect taking items from a store without paying for them. The suspect was arrested.
Burglary of a building - 1000 block of Cason Drive: unknown suspect entered a house under remodeling and removed several power tools.
Burglary of a building - 3600 block of North University Drive: unknown suspects entered a storage building at a construction site and removed power tools.
Evading arrest or detention - University Drive: officers attempted to stop a known suspect for trespassing. A slow speed pursuit ensued in the area of Mound Street and Starr Avenue. When the pursuit entered heavy traffic, officers terminated the pursuit. A warrant has been requested.
The Texas Department of Public Safety announced four days ago they will no longer pay for forensic services across the state.
