LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

By Holley Nees - email

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Etech is hosting a garage sale in their parking lot to benefit the Humane Society of Angelina County.

It's a day for families to reserve a spot to sell unwanted items.

The fee for the spot is donated to the Humane Society and you keep the money you make.

Animals will be there to adopt, and some will even be in a pet parade.

Etech is trying to raise $1,000.

"We do have a community action team here at Etech," Shanie Patterson of Etech said. "Basically what we do is reach out to different organizations in the community and we like to help especially with the organizations who don't receive funding from the state."

The garage sale is Saturday, June 5, in the Etech parking lot from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Contact Etech by Wednesday to reserve a $20 spot.
