LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man pleaded guilty Thursday morning to two violations of probation and evading arrest.
According to a previous report, Marcus Cannon, 31, was arrested following a disturbance in May which left a Groveton man injured from multiple stab wounds.
Police arrested Cannon, who they saw running away from the area where the fight had started. Even after telling him to stop, Cannon continued to run from the officers.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Cannon accepted three concurrent terms; 20 months in state jail for probation revocation of burglary of a building, two years in prison for probation revocation of burglary of a habitation and 20 months in state jail for evading arrest.
Police have made no arrests in the stabbing and are still investigating it.
