Diboll Police charge man in car burglaries

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - Diboll Police have charged a man in connection to at least four car burglaries in April.

According to an arrest complaint, Javonte Hunt, 17, stole a .22-caliber rifle, car stereo, camera and a pair of shoes, over the weekend of April 10. He is charged with engaging in organized crime.

Hunt was arrested along with his mother on April 21, in a drug bust. The Angelina Sheriff's Department charged him on one count of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of drug possession. He posted a $40,000 bond on April 24.

Hunt was arrested again on Wednesday. He was released on a $20,000 bond on Friday.

According to the complaint, Det. Norman Williams was able to connect all items reported stolen back to Hunt.
