MIDLAND, TX (Press release) - An exciting tradition within the Roughnecks organization will continue on Saturday, June 12 as the first 1,000 fans at Saturday's home match-up between the Roughnecks and the Abilene Ruff Riders will receive a Jorvorskie Lane Bobblehead.
Lane currently leads the West Texas Roughnecks in total rushing yards, carries and rushing touchdowns (9) in 2010. Lane committed to the West Texas Roughnecks back in October of 2009 following an impressive college football career at Texas A&M University.

Lane played at the tailback position from his freshman through junior seasons and switched to fullback for his senior season while at Texas A&M. Lane currently holds the school record for most career rushing touchdowns with 49. He would go on to set numerous records as a sophomore in 2006 by posting 725 yards, including a school record 19 rushing touchdowns.
As a junior in 2007, Lane registered 15 total touchdowns and compiled at least 100 yards rushing three times in the Aggies seven wins during the '07 season. Lane completed the 2007 season with 780 yards rushing on 168 carries and posted 4.6 yards a carry. Lane was a three-year starter at Lufkin High School where he rushed for a total of 3,671 yards and 70 touchdowns at running back. He was a two-time All-State selection at Lufkin High School.
Kickoff for the game between the West Texas Roughnecks and the Abilene Ruff Riders is at 7:11 p.m. and gates open at 6:00 p.m. from the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa.
