LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Two people were injured following a two-vehicle wreck in front of the Lucky Puppy kennel on the south loop Friday afternoon in Lufkin.

Police Officer Bradley Baker said a van driven by Margaret Moorer, 84, of Lufkin, was traveling southbound on the loop in front of the kennel at about 2:30 p.m. when a Nissan truck driven by James Nerren, 36, of Huntington, entered the ramp and rear-ended the van, forcing the van to roll over at least twice before landing in a ditch.

Baker said Moorer was taken to a Lufkin hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Nerren, along with his two daughters, 9 and 10-years-old, were also taken to the hospital to be checked out, just for precautionary reasons.

Baker said Nerren would be cited for failure to yield right-of-way.
