Nacogdoches woman called back for show on Oprah network

By Jena Johnson - bio | email

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) – A Nacogdoches woman is on her way to stardom. Nikki Thompson Frazier was called back Sunday in Dallas for her chance to host her very own show on Oprah's new television network.

Thompson Frazier is now one step closer to claiming her own show she plans to call "One Act".

"For instance, maybe you have a friend or a sister even or who is battling cancer and she couldn't afford her dream wedding and I would come in and would plan the event of a lifetime," said Thompson Frazier.

Using her cooking skills and communications background, she is confident a show based on one act of kindness could touch millions of Americans.

"I really feel like it's something I know I can do and it's that time when opportunity and preparation come together and this is that moment," she said.

It's a moment she's been preparing a lifetime for. Thompson Frazier is a self-proclaimed Oprah Stewart: half Oprah, half Martha Stewart. To prove it, she even surprised us with homemade ice cream.

"It's kind of like the best of both worlds like Martha doesn't have what Oprah has, Oprah doesn't have what Martha has. Put them together and you have Nikki Thompson Frazier!" she said.

She has a few more stops before her dream could become reality. She knows the odds are stacked against her, but she's hopeful you're looking at the next big thing.

"It only takes one yes and when they give me that yes that's all I need. I'm just waiting for that one yes," she said. I really feel like with everything of my being that I'm definitely going to win."
