LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police are investigating a shots fired complaint which apparently stemmed from a domestic disturbance.
According to the report, a woman was assaulted by her child's father outside a residence in the 100 block of Shady Bend Drive. The man struck her, causing her to fall to the ground. She then ran to a nearby apartment, the report stated.
While inside the apartment, the woman said that she heard a gunshot. She then left the apartment and saw that a bullet had been fired at her vehicle, damaging two of the windows and one of the side-view mirrors.
According to the report, a police officer was unable to locate the suspect but did collect evidence at the scene. The incident was referred for further investigation.
