ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - An Angelina County woman says her century plant has become quite the attraction for photographers as it has grown a 30-foot blossom.
According to Pauline Kroeker, the plant was a gift from her son-in-law. It was just three-feet tall at the time, and since then has skyrocketed and is as tall as a nearby light pole.
"Some people stop and take pictures," Kroeker said.
The plant is located at Kroeker's home on the 100 block of Cross Timbers Street, near Pollok.
Century plants only flower occasionally, but once they are finished, they die.
