6/18/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault - 800 Block North Chestnut Street: At approximately 2:00 A.M. on Friday, June 18, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified male suspect assaulted the complainant in the 800 block of North Chestnut Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect asked the complainant for money and when the complainant stated that he did not have money the suspect punched the complainant, causing a contusion to the complainant's face.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 4500 Block South Medford Drive: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 7:30 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 4500 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking one of the vehicle's windows and removed from within the vehicle items that the complainant had purchased that date from nearby businesses.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 4600 Block South Medford Drive: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 9:20 A.M. and 6:20 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the vehicle's doors were locked at the time of the incident and that the actor(s) removed from within the vehicle battery chargers.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer did not observe signs that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle, and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Credit Card Abuse - 700 Block South Timberland Drive: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between November 23, 2009 and February 22, 2010 an employee of the complainant's business utilized a credit card issued to the business to make personal purchases.  According to the report, the suspect was authorized to utilize the credit card for business related expenses but was not authorized to utilize the credit card for personal purchases.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Evading - 1300 Block North First Street: At approximately 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2010, a male driver fled from a Lufkin Police Department Officer in the 1300 block of North First Street.  According to the report, the Officer attempted to stop the driver for a traffic offense but the driver exited his vehicle and fled on foot from the Officer.  The report stated that the Officer was able to identify the driver and that a warrant will be sought for the arrest of the drivers for the offense of Evading Arrest or Detention, Texas Penal Code §38.04, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Theft/Felony - 300 Block Carriage Drive: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between May 15, 2010 and June 13, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) stole two rings from the complainant's residence, located in the 300 block of Carriage Drive.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 4600 Block South Medford Drive: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 2:45 P.M. that date an unidentified suspect stole merchandise from a business located in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect concealed merchandise, clothing, inside of a bag and inside of the suspect's clothing and then fled the store by vehicle.  The report stated that the suspect's actions were captured by the business' security video camera system and that the complainant provided a description of the suspect's vehicle and its license plate.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft of Service - 200 Block East Laurel Avenue: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between March 17, 2010 and April 18, 2010 another business owner received service from the complainant's business but refused to make payment for that service.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 100 Block North Timberland Drive: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 9:00 A.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 100 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) entered into the unlocked vehicle and removed from within the vehicle prescription medication.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 600 Block Humason Avenue: On Thursday, June 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 and 7:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's residence and vehicle, both of which were located in the 600 block of Humason Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) entered into the unsecured residence and vehicle and removed from within them property belonging to the complainant, including decorative dentures.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
