Five of Lufkin's best radio stations and The Blood Center of East Texas are holding a blood drive next week with prizes to show appreciation.
Donors have the chance to win a grand prize of two family four packs of tickets to Schlitterbahn as well as a Commit for Life T-shirt and other goodies.
Donations tend to decline during summer months, but the need for blood never takes a vacation.
The blood drive will be Tuesday, June 29, 3-7PM

During a Monday night special meeting, Nacogdoches Independent School District named Sandra Dowdy the lone finalist for the superintendent position.
