San Augustine law enforcement arrest 5 in drug raids

SAN AUGUSTINE, TX (KTRE) -

SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - An early morning undercover drug operation Saturday in San Augustine County netted five arrests for the sheriff's office.

According to Chief Deputy Gary Cunningham, the operation began at one location and ultimately led to arrests at various vehicles and homes. Four of the arrests came in drug-free zones, which enhance the charges.

Cunningham said the work was a cooperative operation between San Augustine Police and the sheriff's department.

Those arrested were:

* Sharmalon Ratcliff, 22, charged with two counts manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and delivery of marijuana in a drug-free zone.

* Jeremy Peace, 23, of San Augustine, charged with two counts manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, delivery of marijuana in a drug-free zone. He also had outstanding warrants for possession of controlled substance, assault and probation revocation.

* Sabrina Green, 20, charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and two counts of possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone. She also had outstanding warrants for theft and two counts of assault.

* Jacqueline Hurts, 26, of San Augustine, charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance in a drug-free zone and possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone.

* Deborah King, 49, of Houston, charged with possession of a controlled substance.
