7/1/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault - 500 Block Homer Street: On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a short time prior to filing the report the complainant was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend at a residence located in the 500 block of Homer Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect struck her head and face causing injury to her mouth, and that the suspect intentionally damaged her mobile telephone.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were unable to locate the suspect and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 600 Block Hackney Street: On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:30 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) attempted to burglarize the complainant's residence, located in the 600 block of Hackney Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a rock was used to break a window in an attempt to gain entry into the residence but entry was not made.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer collected fingerprint evidence at the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 800 Block Bennett Street: On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's residence, located in the 800 block of Bennett Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the residence by breaking a window and removed from within the residence a video gaming system and a laptop computer.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer collected fingerprint evidence at the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 1700 Block Sayers Street: On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 9:00 A.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) attempted to burglarize the complainant's residence, located in the 1700 block of Sayers Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone rang doorbell and knocked at her front door but she was slow in getting to door and when she opened it she found no one there.  The report stated that the complainant later realized that the actor(s) had kicked open a side door to the residence but were unable to gain entry into the residence due to furniture blocking the door.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 900 Block Camp Street: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 10:30 P.M. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, and 8:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) stole a lawn mower from a carport area outside of the complainant's residence, located in the 900 block of Camp Street.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Building - 400 Block East Denman Avenue: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 and 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a business located in the 400 block of East Denman Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the business by breaking the glass of an entry door and removed from within the business several items of clothing and the business' cash register.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 1200 Block West Frank Avenue: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) attempted to burglarize a vehicle while the vehicle was parked outside of a business located in the 1200 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) attempted to force entry into the vehicle by prying at the vehicle's trunk lid but entry was not made.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 1200 Block Glade Street: On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 7:30 A.M. that date two suspects attempted to burglarize the complainant's residence, located in the 1200 block of Glade Street.  According to the report, the complainant woke to the sound of someone knocking at her front door but before she reached the door the suspects had moved to the rear entry door to the residence and were attempting to force it open.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she used a chair to brace the door and prevented the suspects from gaining entry into the residence, and that the suspects stole a bicycle from outside of the residence and fled the area.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
