Former AC Pitcher & Red Sox Star to Disabled list

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Boston All-Star pitcher Clay Buchholz left hamstring. Red Sox manager Terry Francona made the announcement before Monday night's game at Tampa Bay. The right-hander could return to the rotation right after the All-Star break.

Left-hander Felix Doubront is being recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket to replace Buchholz as the starting pitcher for Tuesday night's game with the Rays.

Buchholz was hurt while running the bases June 26 in San Francisco.

Also, right-hander Josh Beckett, on the disabled list since May

19 with a lower back strain, is scheduled to pitch in a

rookie-level Gulf Coast League game Tuesday with a limit of about

55 pitches.
