LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - One of the men wanted for the shooting injury of another man has turned himself in on a charge of aggravated assault.

Omar Almaguer, 20, was booked into the Angelina County Jail Tuesday night.

Det. J.B. Smith said police are still looking for Sergio Ibarra, 18.

According to the police report, the shooting victim, Ulesis Ranguel, 17, said he has had problems with Almaguer and Fuentes dating back to when he was in school.

According to an complaint affidavit, the victim was shot shortly before 2 a.m. on the 2200 block of N. Raguet Street. A witness said he and Ranguel were sitting on the porch of a residence when they saw two vehicles coming toward the residence. Both were aware of the people in the car and the witness picked up a baseball bat and approached the vehicles, where the witness exchanged words with Ibarra and Almaguer.

The witness said Ibarra fired several shots from a car before leaving the residence. None hit the witness, but one hit Ranguel in the neck.

Ranguel has since been treated and released from a hospital.
