Divers Search Waters for More Evidence in Laci Peterson Homicide

Richmond, California-AP -- For a second straight day, police divers are searching San Francisco Bay for evidence in the Laci Peterson case.

Modesto police describe the search as a follow-up investigation.

Peterson was pregnant when she disappeared in December. Her body and that of her unborn son washed onto the shore in Richmond last month. Her husband has been charged with murder.

The badly decomposed remains were found several miles north of where Peterson's husband said he went fishing on the day he says Laci disappeared.

Modesto police say they've enlisted help from other police agencies as well as the private sector, but do not plan to release any further information.
