7/20/10 Lufkin Police report

Harassment - 300 East Shepherd Avenue: On Tuesday, July 20, 2010, a complainant appeared at Lufkin Police Department and reported that a known suspect had harassed her via telephone.  According to the report, the complainant stated that since Monday, July 19, 2010, the father of her child has made repeated harassing telephone calls to her and sent to her repeated text messages.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Building - 2200 Block East Denman Avenue: At approximately 3:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to an active burglary alarm at a business located in the 2200 block of East Denman Avenue.  According to the report, unidentified actors activated the alarm during an unsuccessful attempt to force entry into the business.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Assault - 3500 Block North John Redditt Drive: On Tuesday, July 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 12:05 A.M. that date a known suspect assaulted the complainant outside of a residence located in the 3500 block of North John Redditt Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male friend pushed, hit, and choked her after she refused to drive him to Nacogdoches but that the suspect fled the area when the complainant called law enforcement.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 100 Block Miles Way: On Monday, July 19, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 9:00 P.M. and 10:15 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked outside of a movie theater located in the 100 block of Miles Way.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her children watched a movie at the theater and when they returned to the vehicle they found that the actor(s) had forced entry into the vehicle by breaking a window and removed from within the vehicle a bag containing a portable music player.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 600 Block North Raguet Street: On Monday, July 19, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 7:20 P.M. that date a known female suspect and two unidentified male suspects stole merchandise from a business located in the 600 block of North Raguet Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the female suspect distracted the complainant while the male suspect removed two thirty-count packages of beer from within the business without making payment.  The report stated that the complainant provided descriptions of the suspects and the suspects' vehicle but the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation and filing of charges.

Terroristic Threat - 200 Block East Menefee Avenue: On Monday, July 19, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 2:30 P.M. that date a known suspect threatened three juveniles outside of a residence located in the 200 block of East Menefee Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect displayed a firearm and threatened the juveniles when the juveniles attempted to retrieve their ball from the suspect's yard.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers recovered the firearm, an air gun pistol, and that the suspect stated that he was protecting his property from ongoing criminal mischief caused by the juveniles.  The report stated that the air gun pistol and written statements were submitted as evidence and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Forgery/Counterfeiting - 2400 Block South First Street: On Monday, July 19, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 1:40 P.M. that date an unidentified suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit $20.00 bill at a business located in the 2400 block of South First Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect fled the area on foot when the complainant confronted him about the counterfeit bill and that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were unable to locate the suspect.  The report stated that, based upon the information collected, the Officers identified a possible suspect and that the incident was referred for further investigation.
