NACOGDOCHES CO. (KTRE) - A concerned motorist called 9-1-1 Saturday to alert Nacogdoches Sheriffs deputies of a reckless driver.

The caller said the driver's vehicle was weaving when they saw the car traveling west along Highway 7 east of Nacogdoches.

The suspect, later identified as 30 year old Donald Wayne Fleck, also ran over traffic cones in a construction zone, according to the caller.  DPS trooper Gary Rudisill spotted Fleck's vehicle traveling west on S.E. Stallings Drive near the intersection of U.S. Highway 59.

Investigators said when Trooper Rudisill tried to stop the vehicle, the suspect drove away in an attempt to keep from being arrested.  Reports indicate Fleck turned west onto Highway 7 where the pursuit continued for several miles.

Deputies were able to set up a roadblock at Highway 7 and FM 2782, where deputies spiked the suspect's tires.  Fleck then turned onto CR 704 and traveled for a short distance before stopping his vehicle.

Authorities arrested him and transported Fleck to the Nacogdoches County Jail.  He is charged with Misdemeanor DWI, State Jail Felony-Evading Arrest.  According to Sheriff Thomas Kerss, Fleck was also found to have an outstanding "C" misdemeanor warrant from the City of Nacogdoches.
