7/27/10 Lufkin Police report

Fraud - 300 East Shepherd Avenue: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant appeared at Lufkin Police Department and reported that she lost her wallet in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive and an unidentified actor(s) had fraudulent utilized her identifying information.  According to the report, the complainant stated that approximately six weeks prior to the reporting date she lost her wallet, containing her driver's license and social security card, and that a credit monitoring service to which she subscribed recently notified her that an unidentified actor(s) had utilized the complainant's identifying information to open an account with TXU Electric.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 900 Wildbriar Drive: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:00 A.M. on July 24, 2010 and 6:15 P.M. on July 26, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a residence located in the 900 block of Wildbriar Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the residence by breaking a window but, at the time of the report, the complainant did not detect any property missing from within the residence.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) removed from with the garage a dark green 1998 Jeep Cherokee displaying Texas license plate 804GR4, and that he stored the vehicle's keys inside of the vehicle's console.  The report stated that another vehicle parked inside of the garage, one which did not have its key inside of its console, and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 300 Block Duncan Avenue: At approximately 6:15 P.M. on Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 12:10 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. that date known suspect stole property from within a residence located in the 300 block of Duncan Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect fled the area when the complainant discovered the suspect stealing jewelry and prescription medication from within a purse and that the complainant later discovered a lockbox missing from within the residence.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 4200 Block South Medford Drive: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant, a loss prevention employee of a business located in the 4200 block of South Medford Drive, reported to Lufkin Police Department that between July 5, 2010 and July 26, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) stole multiple digital cameras from within the business.  According to the report, the complainant stated that employees of the business discovered numerous empty digital camera packages hidden within the business but did not know the exact date on which the theft(s) occurred.  The report stated that the complainant provided the name of a possible suspect and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 4200 Block South Medford Drive: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant, a loss prevention employee of a business located in the 4200 block of South Medford Drive, reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified actor(s) stole multiple Nintendo Wii game system controllers from within the business.  According to the report, the complainant stated that employees of the business discovered numerous empty Nintendo Wii game system controller packages from controllers that were stolen between 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. that date.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 3200 Block Old Union Road: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that she detected jewelry missing from her residence, located in the 3200 block of Old Union Road, and that she believes that the jewelry was stolen from within the residence by an unidentified actor(s) between July 18, 2010 and July 24, 2010.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 1700 Block Lee Avenue: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a residence located in the 1700 block of Lee Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the residence by breaking a window and removed from within the residence a video gaming system, a laptop computer, a television, and a DVD player.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 4500 Block Ellen Trout Drive: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between July 23, 2010 and July 26, 2010 a known suspect stole prescription medication from within the complainant's residence, located in the 4500 block of Ellen Trout Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative, a person the complainant refused to identify the suspect to the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer, stole the complainant's prescription pain medication and that the complainant stated she wanted a police report so that she could obtain additional prescription pain medications.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Building - 800 Block Pershing Avenue: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 10:30 P.M. on July 23, 2010 and 9:00 A.M. on July 26, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a building located in the 800 block of Pershing Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the building by breaking a window and removed from within the building several bags of snack chips and electronic equipment.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer collected evidence from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 1500 Block South First Street: On Monday, July 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 1:00 P.M. on July 24, 2010 and 8:00 A.M. on July 26, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle parked at a business located in the 1500 block of South First Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking one of the vehicle's windows and removed from within the vehicle car audio equipment.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer collected evidence from the vehicle and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

    Temporarily calling the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter a home, Remi is hoping to find something a little more permanent. Caretakers said the one-year-old dog is playful and loves attention. Remi was brought into the shelter as a stray about three weeks ago. "He gets along with the other dogs.
