East Texas Athlete wins big at National Special Olympic Games

POLLOK, TX (KTRE) – Last week we told you about an East Texas athlete preparing for the National Special Olympic Games in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The results are in. Last weekend, 20-year-old Jessica Clopp, of Pollok competed in gymnastics and won three gold medals in the rhythmic all-around, rhythmic ribbon and rhythmic rope competitions.

Clopp also took home a bronze and silver medal.

She was among 152 Texas athletes and 39 coaches representing Texas at the National Games.
