7/28/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault - 900 Block Turner Street: On Wednesday, July 28, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a known suspect assaulted the complainant inside of a residence located in the 900 block of Turner Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband slapped her face twice during an argument over the complainant arriving home late.  According to the report, the suspect and a witness stated that the suspect did not assault the complainant.  The report stated that the complainant and suspect were at separate locations at the time of the report and the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer did not observe any evidence of the reported assault so the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 800 Block South Third Street: At approximately 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. on July 23, 2010 an unidentified suspect stole a push-type lawn mower from a residence located in the 800 block of South Third Street.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 300 Block South Chestnut Street: On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 4:00 P.M. that date the complainant dropped his wallet in the parking lot of a business located in the 300 block of South Chestnut Street but, when he returned, was unable to locate the wallet.  According to the report, management of the business stated that the business' security video system captured images of a white, male subject picking the wallet up and driving away from the area in a red-in-color Chevrolet truck with a black-in-color dump truck type bed.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Fraud - 800 Block Ponderosa Drive: On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified actor(s) had fraudulent utilized the complainants debit card number to make an online purchase.  According to the report, the complainant stated that online retailer informed the complainant that the purchased item was shipped to Plano, Texas and that the purchaser had a Michigan Internet Protocol address.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 800 Block Hays Wood Drive: On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a residence located in the 800 block of Hays Wood Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) entered into the residence by forcing open an entry door and removed from within the residence a laptop computer, portable music player, digital camera, video gaming system, and video game discs.  The report stated that a Lufkin Police Department Crime Scene Technician collected evidence from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 700 Block Hoskins Avenue: On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 10:30 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. on July 25, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) removed a laptop computer and video gaming system from the complainant's residence, located in the 700 block of Hoskins Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she suspects her adult daughter of removing the property from within the residence.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Criminal Mischief - 3000 Block South John Redditt Drive: On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 9:00 P.M. on July 26, 2010 and 9:00 A.M. on July 27, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) painted graffiti on the exterior of a building located in the 3000 block of South John Redditt Drive.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Criminal Mischief - 1800 Block Ford Chapel Road: On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 5:00 P.M. on July 26, 2010 and 9:00 A.M. on July 27, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) damaged a sign outside of a building located in the 1800 block of Ford Chapel Road.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) caused dents to and broke glass portions of the sign.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
