SAN AUGUSTINE, TX (KTRE) - The San Augustine County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a 37-year-old woman who has been missing since Saturday morning.

Sheriff David Smith said Patricia Johnson, of San Augustine, is white, 5'5", 160 pounds and has blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.

She was last heard from around 9:20 a.m. Saturday in Chireno.

Her vehicle, a blue Ford Taurus, was discovered at her sister's residence on County Road 264 off of FM 1196 on Saturday morning around 10 a.m. The doors were unlocked, the keys were  not in the car and the hood was open.

Johnson's sister's two dogs are missing from the home and are believed to be with Johnson.

Her purse and cell phone were left at her home. Johnson has been taking prescription pills for her depression.

"We feel she is in danger. We have Texas Parks and Wild Life going down the Attoyac River to see if she's possibly somewhere along the river," Smith said.

Smith said Johnson is a loner and has no enemies. He said they're in the process of getting a Texas Parks and Wildlife helicopter in the morning. A ground search will then search in the area of State Highway 21 West and FM 1196 South.

Smith said Johnson has never disappeared before.

If the public sees or knows where Johnson is they are urged to call the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office at 936-275-2424.
