8/10/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault - 700 Block Saint Lo Street:  At approximately 1:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to a report of an assault that had occurred at a residence located in the 700 block of Saint Lo Street.  According to the report, the female complainant and two female suspects "had gotten into a feud on facebook.com" and the suspect came to the complainant's residence, and the complainant suffered an injury to her lip during the resulting physical altercation.  The report stated that the suspects fled the area prior to the officers' arrival and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 1400 Block Lark Street:  At approximately 10:20 P.M. on Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between approximately 8:15 P.M. and 9:15 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's residence, located in the 1400 block of Lark Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced open a window to the residence to gain entry and removed from within the residence three firearms.  The report stated that evidence was collected from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Building - 1100 Block Kiln Street:  At approximately 8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between approximately 12:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a laundry room connected to the exterior of the complainant's residence, located in the 1100 block of Kiln Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) entered into the unlocked laundry room and stole bags of dog food and also removed a pitbull dog puppy from the back yard of the residence.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Fraud - 300 East Shepherd Avenue: On Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant appeared at Lufkin Police Department and reported that she suspects that her 56-year-old daughter fraudulently utilized the complainant's identifying information to obtain credit.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Forgery/Counterfeiting - 400 Block Atkinson Drive: On Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 1:20 P.M. that date an unidentified suspect attempted to pass a fraudulent check at a business located in the 400 block of Atkinson Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect fled the business when the complainant stated that the issuer would be contacted to verify the check.  The report stated that evidence was collected at the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Criminal Mischief - 1000 Block Dunlap Avenue:  On Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:00 P.M. on August 08, 2010 and 12:00 P.M. on August 09, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) caused damage to the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of Dunlap Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the vehiocle's rear window had been broken but, at the time of the report, the complainant did not detect any property missing from within the vehicle.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary/Habitation - 200 Block Ruel Street: At approximately 10:20 A.M. on Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. on August 07, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's residence, located in the 200 block of Ruel Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the residence by damaging a rear entry door and removed from within the residence several hundred dollars in currency.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 400 Block North Timberland Drive: At approximately 10:20 A.M. on Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 11:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on August 06, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) stole merchandise from a business located in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) stole a handheld video gaming device from one of the business' display cases.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 3900 Block South Medford Drive:  On Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between August 06, 2010 and August 09, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) stole patio furniture from outside of a business located in the 3900 block of South Medford Drive.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Building - 900 Block Kurth Drive: On Monday, August 09, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between August 06, 2010 and August 09, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the computer room at Ministry in Action Living Center, located in the 900 block of Hurth Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the building by prying at the entry door and removed from within the room the complainant's laptop computer.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Train/Automobile Crash - Atkinson Drive: At approximately 3:00 A.M. on Monday, August 09, 2010, a driver abandoned his vehicle, a 2003 Buick four-door, on the railroad tracks located in the 1000 block of Angelina Street.  According to the report, the vehicle became high-centered on the railroad track when the driver attempted to cross over the tracks at an area other than the designated vehicle crossing, and the train operator was unable to stop the train before colliding with the unoccupied vehicle.  The report stated that the vehicle was "totaled" destroyed and the train engine sustained minor damage to its front guard, side entry steps, and exterior hoses.  The report stated that a warrant will be sought for the arrest of the vehicle's driver, identified as Willard Loggins (White / Male / 48) of San Augustine, Texas, for the offense of Obstructing Highway or Other Passageway (Railway), Texas Penal Code §42.03, a Class B Misdemeanor.
