POLLOK, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has "no definite lead yet" on a rape they say occurred on a Pollok road.

According to Lt. Pete Cooper, people are calling in to say they have seen others matching the broad description, but no lead has worked out yet. Investigators and deputies are following up on tips today.

Cooper said details on the assault, which occurred Wednesday morning, can not be released yet.

The sheriff's office began investigating Wednesday after a juvenile girl reported she was sexually assaulted while walking her dog on Alders Circle. Cooper said the girl managed to get away from her attacker and call 911 from home.

Cooper said the woman described the man as a white male, aged between 30 and 40 and wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt. His hair is described as salt-and-pepper colored and two to three inches long, he may have a beard and he has a slim build. His eyes are brown.

Anyone with knowledge of the incident should call the sheriff's office at 936-634-3332 or call Crime Stoppers at 936-639-TIPS.
