ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Lufkin man and charged him with stealing tools from his employer.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim filed a report in Sept. 2009 and stated someone had stolen multiple items by breaking into her storage building.
She said that Ronny Sanders, 43, of Lufkin, and another man had been hired to do some yard work from her. She also found that the tools that were missing had been sold to a Lufkin man, according to the affidavit.
The deputy then interviewed the man that bought the tools, who said Sanders and the other man had sold him several tools, and the victim was able to identify those tools as the ones that were stolen from her, the affidavit stated.
Sanders was booked into the Angelina County Jail and charged with burglary of a building. Investigator Mark McLin said he could not comment on the case, except that it was for the 2009 burglary.
