LUFKIN, TX (KTRE)- Police say a Lufkin man reported that a prostitute stole his truck parked outside of his motel room Saturday night.

The 48-year-old man reportedly told police he was staying at the Center Pines Motel in the 200 block of S. Timberland Dr. when he let a prostitute in his motel room to shower and "stay there for a little while".

Police say the man told them he didn't have sex with the prostitute.

The man reportedly told police the prostitute stole his car key from his key ring, then took off in his black Ford Ranger truck. The man didn't know the license plate number because he had just purchased the truck and it was not yet registered his name.

The man describes the prostitute as a blond female in her thirtys. Police say they have two well-known prostitutes in mind that match that description; however, one of those, they say is a transvestite.
