8/16/10 Lufkin Police report

Burglary/Vehicle - 1000 Block South Raguet Street: On Monday, August 16, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 1:00 A.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of South Raguet Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that they were away from the vehicle for approximately ten minutes and when they returned to it they observed one of the vehicle's doors open and noted that music discs and a package of cigarettes were missing from within the vehicle.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer collected evidence from the scene and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Terroristic Threat - 700 Block Southwood Drive: At approximately 12:30 A.M. on Monday, August 16, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 12:15 A.M. that date a known suspect threatened to assault the complainant while the complainant and suspect were standing in the parking lot of Super S Grocery, located in the 700 block of Southwood Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that during a verbal altercation the suspect made visible to the complainant the grip of a handgun concealed within the waistband of the suspect's pants.  The report stated that, while the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer spoke with the complainant, an Angelina County Sheriff's Office Deputy located the suspect walking in the area but the suspect was not found in possession of a handgun.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Assault - 900 Block South Second Street: On Sunday, August 15, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 11:00 A.M. that date a known suspect assaulted the complainant as they stood in the common area of Courtyard apartment complex, located in the 900 block of South Second Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that during a verbal altercation the suspect, a person known to the complainant only by a first name, struck the back of the complainant's head once causing a laceration.  The report stated that the complainant contacted Lufkin Police Department Officers from the emergency room at Memorial Medical Center of Lufkin, where approximately six stitches were used to close the laceration to his scalp.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Assault - 400 Block South Third Street: On Sunday, August 15, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 7:30 A.M. that date a known suspect assaulted the complainant at Salvation Army, located in the 400 block of South Third Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that during a verbal altercation the suspect punched the complainant's face once, bending the complainant's eyeglasses frame.  The report stated that the suspect had fled the area prior to the complainant contacting Lufkin Police Department and that the responding Officers did not observe visible injuries to the complainant and did not observe the complainant's eyeglasses frame to be bent.  The report stated that the complainant was directed to contact the Lufkin City Attorney's office to sign a Complainant concerning the reported Class C Misdemeanor assault incident.
