Temple Elementary gets thumbs up from EPA

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - By Jena Johnson - email

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - After months of testing the air quality surrounding Temple Elementary School, Diboll ISD Superintendent Gary Martel says EPA found no significant levels of contamination.

Martel says the good news comes at just the right time, considering kids will be heading back to school next week.

He says EPA found that the areas of concern, particularly around Temple-Inland, did not show air quality levels that would harm children or adults.

He says EPA may conduct more testing if they find it necessary.
