LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A call to police over suspected drug deals at a Lufkin car wash led police to arresting three on possession charges Sunday, according to a report.
The report states a call came to dispatch at 9:39 a.m. The caller said someone in a black Honda at a car wash on the 600 block of Chestnut Street suspected three males were using and selling drugs.
When police arrived, the car left, but police caught up to it at the intersection of Denman Avenue and stopped it because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Upon a search of the vehicle, the officer found small baggies of cocaine under the emergency brake, the report stated.
Francisco Chavez, 20, Juan Mendoza, 19, and Juan Garza, 21, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance. Mendoza was also charged with minor in possession, no driver's license and disorderly conduct.
