Heat Advisories have been re-issued, again

(KTRE) STORM TRACKER WEATHER CENTER:  Even though we have received some pockets of heavy rain over the past couple of days, that still has not completely gotten rid of the dangerously hot conditions.

Heat Advisories have been re-issued for most of East Texas as heat index values are still expected to top out well over 105° during the heating of the day.

If your neighborhood receives some rain, you will get a break from the scorching temperatures.  However, if Mother Nature skips your neighborhood, then you will still be feeling very hot, with highs in the upper 90's and feels like temperatures ranging from 105-110°.

We will have another chance for some scattered showers and storms today, before rain chances taper off by Friday.  As we head into the weekend, rain chances are gone, which means temperatures will be climbing back up to the century mark area wide.
