SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Joaquin man died Friday morning after he drove his motorcycle into a pick-up whose driver failed to yield the right-of-way, according to a DPS report.
According to the report, Jose Louis Rodriguez, of Center, had stopped at an intersection on FM 2608 and State Highway 7 in Shelby County at 6 a.m. Rodriguez then pulled out in front of Danny Joe Carroll, 63, who was driving eastbound on Hwy. 7. Carroll, who was not wearing a helmet and was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, hit Rodriguez's pickup. Carroll was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report shows Rodriguez was injured, but refused medical treatment.
