LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police say they have arrested a man who sold crack cocaine out of a Lufkin motel room on Thursday night.
According to the arrest affidavit, police were conducting surveillance at around 6 p.m. at Motel 6, located at 1110 S. Timberland Drive. An informant met with them and let them know about a call he could make to buy crack cocaine.
The affidavit states Kevin Ryamon Sturgis, 33, pulled into the motel and sold the cocaine to the informant. The officers then approached Sturgis, who admitted to selling the drug and to also having drugs in his possession.
Sturgis was booked into the Angelina County Jail on a charge of possessing less than one gram of cocaine, a state jail felony, and delivery of cocaine greater than one gram, a second-degree felony.
