LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A child's quick thinking kept a Dallas man from successfully robbing a Lufkin home, and Wednesday he pleaded guilty to the crime.
According to an Aug. 2009 report, Dante Faison, 29, and three others stormed into a home on Nile Street and held up a babysitter and several children. But one of the children managed to sneak to a closet and call 911.
When police arrived, Faison managed to flee on foot. He was arrested later that week in Center.
Faison pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in District Judge Paul White's courtroom. A sentencing is set for Sept. 30.
