LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - An Angelina County Grand Jury has indicted a Wells woman following a March incident in which her child fell out of a moving vehicle.

According to a previous report, police were called to the Timberland Drive and Denman Avenue intersection after they learned the two-year-old daughter of Brittany Dyson, 23, had opened the door of Dyson's SUV and fallen out. The girl sustained facial injuries, road rash and a possible seizure.

At the time, Dyson was cited with three class C misdemeanors: failure to show driver's license, failure to show proof of insurance and failure to secure child in safety seat. But with the grand jury indictment, she is now charged with felony injury to a child.

Dyson's indictment was one of 47 handed down by the grand jury on Friday.

According to Lufkin Police Officer Jim Porter, Dyson claimed her child was secure in a booster seat, and must have gotten out of the seat and opened the door. But Porter said no indentations were on the seat, and the child was too young for a booster seat and should have been secured in a car seat.

Among the other indictments handed down Friday:

* Steven Brent Nobles, 35, of Groveton, for possession of child porn. According to Lufkin Police, Nobles' 2009 arrest came after an officer encountered him on the 1000 block of Rowe Avenue and learned he held four outstanding warrants. During the encounter, Nobles was found to be in possession of marijuana and several papers containing underage boys in various states of undress and in various sexual positions, the report stated. Nobles has also been charged with the same charge in Trinity County.

* Randall Rhoden, 21, of Lufkin, for impersonating a public servant. According to a previous report, Rhoden posed as a police officer on two occasions in May. The arrest report states the defendant admitted he was currently in the police academy and had become overzealous after ordering a set of LED dash lights. The suspect admitted to stopping numerous people.

* Frank Robinson, Jr., 29, of Lufkin, for aggravated sexual assault of a disabled individual. Robinson was arrested in June after it was reported he had a girl with Down Syndrome perform oral sex on him.

* Norman Reed Thacker, 25, of Lufkin, for assault of a public servant. Thacker was arrested over the 4th of July weekend when he allegedly attacked a sheriff's deputy who attempted to arrest him for public intoxication.
