A California judge has delayed ruling on whether to unseal investigation reports in the Laci Peterson murder case.
A lawyer representing several California newspapers asked the court to unseal eight search warrants used to gather evidence from Scott Peterson's boat and truck and from the couple's home.
The lawyer says there's no need for secrecy since Scott Peterson is behind bars on murder charges. The judge had sealed the evidence before Peterson was arrested.
The judge says he'll meet privately with lawyers in the case on Friday and rule by June 12th.
Another judge has sealed an autopsy report and arrest and search warrants in the case.
The remains of Laci Peterson and her unborn son washed ashore in April near the area where Scott Peterson said he went fishing Christmas Eve, the day he said his wife Laci disappeared.
