ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man was arrested Monday on an accusation of stealing from his parents and leaving a note behind asking them to report that they were robbed.

The arrest affidavit states Oscar Segura Jr., 24, stole a CD player, a Wii game system, two TVs, a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver, a home surround sound system and an air compressor. He left a note in the Angelina County house written on a paper towel in which he states he stole the items so that he could sell them and buy drugs, the affidavit states. Segura also admitted he had a bad drug problem and he needed help and he apologized to his parents and stated they should call the police and say they were robbed, according to the affidavit.

The detective with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office estimated the value of the items at $1,878.

Segura was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Monday on a charge of theft.
