NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a man and a woman Thursday morning during a drug raid in a trailer park on Woden Road.

According to Chief Inv. Mike Claude, Maxie Antione Deckard, 30, and Gemekia Nicole Hayter, 31, were arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Deckard is also charged with unlawful possession of a bulletproof vest.

The team recovered approximately 50 grams of crack cocaine and $2,600 in cash at the trailer, located on the 3000 block of Woden Road, at about 9:15 a.m.

Claude said the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation by the narcotics unit.

"This took some hard work by our unit," Claude said. "We did a lot of working with citizens in the area and confidential informants."
