4/21/10 Lufkin Police report

Burglary/Habitation - 100 Block West Laurel Avenue: On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 7:30 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's residence, located in the 100 block of West Laurel Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) entered into the residence through an unsecured entry door of the residence and removed from within the residence a Nintendo Wii video gaming system.  The report stated that the complainant identified a possible suspect and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Fraud - 600 Block Janeway Avenue:  On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unknown suspect attempted to defraud her. According to the report, the complainant stated that she received a telephone call from an unknown male subject who stated that he was attempting to collect from the complainant a past due payment. According to the report, the complainant said that the caller knew her Social Security number, driver license number, and bank account information, and demanded that the complainant pay a debt that the complainant did not owe.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 600 Block Locke Street:  On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that that between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. on September 14, 2010 a known suspect burglarized a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Locke Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a witness saw a known female suspect remove car audio equipment from within the unlocked vehicle but the complainant waited until he had identified the suspect to report the incident.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 300 Block Pershing Avenue:  At approximately 6:30 P.M. on Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between 8:00 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's residence, located in the 300 block of Pershing Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) entered into the residence through an unsecured window of the residence and removed from within the residence an Xbox video gaming system, a Toshiba television, an Acer laptop computer, a Dynex CD player, and a Roku digital media player.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary/Vehicle - 4600 Block South Medford Drive:  On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that that between 5:30 P.M. and 6:15 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle parked in the parking lot of Lufkin Mall, located in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by damaging one of the vehicle's windows and removed from within the vehicle a backpack, purse, and wallet.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Assault - 100 Block East Polk Avenue: At approximately 3:50 P.M. on Sunday, September 19, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to a residence located in the 100 block of East Polk Avenue in reference to a 9-1-1 call that disconnected prior to the caller speaking to a Dispatcher.  According to the report, at the residence the responding Officers found a male complainant bleeding from his nose and learned that the complainant had arrived at the residence to pick up a co-worker and was punched by the co-worker's ex-boyfriend.  The report stated that the suspect fled the area prior to the complainant dialing 9-1-1 and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Habitation - 400 Block Wilton Street: At approximately 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 20, 2010, Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Wilton Street in reference to a report of suspicious persons in the area.  According to the report, the caller stated to the Officers that he has witnessed three unidentified male subjects walk toward the rear of a vacant residence located across the street from the caller's residence.  The report stated that the Officers did not locate the suspicious persons but did find that the rear entry door of the vacant had been forced open.  The report stated that the Officers contacted the property owner and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Violation of Protective Order - 3400 Block Nerren Avenue: On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a known suspect was harassing the complainant.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she received more than forty harassing text messages from her estranged husband and that the text messages violated an active protective order.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Fraud - 400 Block Charlton Street: On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a known suspect fraudulently used the complainant's identifying information. According to the report, the complainant stated that he received a telephone call from a bill collection company stating that he owe money for a past due account opened on or about February 1, 2009 in Cypress, Texas.  The report stated that the complainant believes that his sister used his identifying information to open the account and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Burglary/Vehicle - 400 Block Atkinson Drive: On Monday, September 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that that between 5:00 P.M. on September 17, 2010 and 7:40 A.M. on September 20, 2010 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Atkinson Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) removed car audio equipment from within the vehicle and damaged the vehicle's steering column in an unsuccessful attempt to steal the vehicle.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

    Temporarily calling the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter a home, Remi is hoping to find something a little more permanent. Caretakers said the one-year-old dog is playful and loves attention.
