GROVETON, TX (KTRE) - A Trinity County grand jury has issued a no-bill for a Trinity County deputy constable who was involved in a wreck which killed a 12-year-old driver.

Texas Ranger Steven Jeter presented the evidence to the grand jury, according to Constable Woody Wallace.

According to a previous report, Scott Allen Williford was killed in an August wreck in a pursuit with Deputy Constable Rusty Barrett.

Williford was behind the wheel of a 2001 Dodge pickup and attempting to evade law enforcement on State Highway 94 in Trinity County, one mile west of Boontown Road, when he left the road and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
