Several Angelina College softball and baseball players have been selected to play in the upcoming Fuddruckers Junior College All-Star Weekend taking place Sept. 24-25 at Baylor Ballpark and Getterman Stadium in Waco, Texas.
The JUCO classic features top junior college softball and baseball players from New Mexico and Texas.
Lauren Davis (OF) and Taylor Sells (1B, D/H) will represent the Lady Roadrunner softball program. Grant Clyde (3B), Ryan Gunhouse (OF), Todd Wallace (D/H), Nick Wright (P) and Chase Greening (P) were selected from the Roadrunner baseball team. Greening will not play because of an injury.
The first of the four baseball games will begin at 3:35 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 with a second game scheduled tentatively for 8 p.m. The first of six softball games will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 with a second game scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and the third at 8:00 p.m. Baseball games will continue through Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11:15 a.m. and tentatively for 3:30 p.m.
In addition, softball games will continue Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Admission for adults will be $6 for a single-day pass and $10 for a tournament pass. Student admission for college students and younger with a student ID will be $5 for a single day and $7 for a tournament pass. All tickets and passes are good for both stadiums
The tournament is sponsored by Fuddruckers and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.
