LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police reasoning for arresting a man at a laundromat Wednesday isn't that unusual. But the reason they went there in the first place is.
According to the report, officers responded to R&R Washateria, located at 2404 East Denman Avenue, in reference to the owner of the business saying that a man was "scaring customers."
On arrival, officers identified the scary suspect as Shane Phillip Gammons, 30, of Lufkin, and learned the Angelina County Sheriff's Office had an outstanding warrant for him on the offense of permit unlicensed person to drive, the report stated.
A search prior to booking Gammons revealed he had in his possession syringes, a drug smoking pipe, a drug snorting straw and a substance believed to be meth, according to the report.
Gammons is charged with the outstanding warrant, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
