ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Emergency crews are clearing the scene of a wreck between an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck on U.S. 69 North, near the Dollar General store.

Trooper Tamela Snider said Daniel Massingill, 33, of Pollok, was traveling southbound at about 1:45 p.m. with a 10-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy and pulled into the center lane to turn into the store. He turned in front of an 18-wheeler, driven by Jackie Culverhouse, 57, of Tyler, who could not stop in time and went off the road, knocking down three power line poles before stopping about 250 feet from the store.

Nobody suffered serious injuries, Snider said.

Massingill was cited for turning unsafely and for a suspended license.

Traffic on both sides were diverted while crews work the scene.
